According to the Domestic Violence National Hotline, Domestic VIOLENCE is defined as, "A PATTERN OF BEHAVIORS used by one partner TO MAINTAIN POWER AND CONTROL over another in an intimate relationship."
                   

What are some of the behaviors?

or, "otherwise FORCE THEM TO BEHAVE in ways THEY DO NOT WANT TO."
